About Me

What’s up, y’all! Welcome to my website. My name is Sam Yousuf. Born and raised down South in the Peach state, I am a Georgia boy through and through. I just wrapped up my BFA in Musical Theater at the University of Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music (CCM). I am a proud first generation Ethiopian-American with a HUGE family that means the world to me. My first love was singing R&B and soul, but it wasn't until I got to high school that I discovered my love for acting and storytelling. Somehow it was my suburban school's production of Hairspray that opened my eyes to the magic of theater.

In addition to musical theater, I love film and TV (follow my letterboxd @samyousuf), straight plays, eating, playing every sport under the sun, and making music. At my core, I am an activist and a believer in using art as a vessel for making change. I love my mom, my sisters, my friends, and I can't wait to get life going in New York City.
